Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Virtual CowaLUNGa Charity Bike Tour to support Respiratory Health Association’s vision for healthy lungs and clean air for all. My goal is to complete 20 miles! Not all at once, I’m in no shape to do that now, I’ll ride a little each day.
The Respiratory Health Association has been helping me for many years. I enjoy going to the yearly Confrence, Living Better with COPD. I love the quality of the workshops offered. I have attended other events the RHA has offered. I won a raffle on a boat cruise at Navy Pier, and many of you remember my 1/2 climb at the Hustle Up the Hancock! That was fun! I’m not sure if there will be a Hustle in 2021, but I’m putting together a team...I’m going to attempt the Full Climb!
On March 4, 2019 I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had pneumonia, and a collapsed lung. I have had surgery, chemo, radiation and I currently get immunotherapy infusions. I will finish treatment next month. I’ll still see my oncologist for follow up scans. Now it is time for me to get my strength and endurance back! I will fight! I will win!
With your support, Respiratory Health Association will continue to empower thousands of people who live with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, lung cancer and other lung disease and their caregivers through our community health programs.
